This Privacy Policy explains how Achievia Pvt Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in the Republic of the Maldives and trading as “Achievia Consultancy” (“Achievia”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data in connection with the website at achievia.mv and its subdomains (the “Website”).

This Privacy Policy explains how Achievia Pvt Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in the Republic of the Maldives and trading as “Achievia Consultancy” (“Achievia”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data in connection with the website at achievia.mv and its subdomains (the “Website”).

The Website is an informational and marketing platform. It does not offer user accounts, registration, log-ins or public user profiles, and we do not knowingly build individual profiles of visitors. The personal data we handle is therefore limited, and is described below.

We are the data controller responsible for personal data processed through the Website. We process personal data in accordance with the applicable data-protection law of the Republic of the Maldives, including the Personal Data Protection Act (Law No. 23/2024) (the “PDPA”), to the extent it applies.

When personal data is no longer required, we will securely delete, destroy or anonymise it. Where a formal engagement follows your enquiry, the retention of any related data will be governed by the terms of that engagement.

1. Personal Data We Collect

Because the Website has no registered users, we only collect personal data in a small number of situations:

  • a) Information you give us through enquiry / contact forms. When you complete a contact or enquiry form,mrequest a consultation, or otherwise contact us through the Website, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, and the contents of your message.
  • b) Information you send us directly. If you email or call us using the details on the Website, we collect the information contained in your communication.
  • c) Technical and usage data. When you visit the Website, our servers and third-party tools may automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring pages, and the dates, times and pages of your visit. This data is used in aggregate and is generally not used to identify you personally.
  • d) Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 7.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal data through the Website. Please do not submit confidential, privileged or sensitive information through the Website’s forms; sensitive matters should be handled under a formal engagement with appropriate confidentiality arrangements in place.

We rely on lawful bases for processing consistent with the PDPA, including your consent (which you give when you choose to contact us or accept non-essential cookies), the need to take steps at your request prior to entering into a service arrangement, our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business, and compliance with legal obligations

3. Marketing Communications

We will only send you marketing or promotional communications where you have requested them or otherwise consented, or where permitted by law. Every marketing email will include a simple way to opt out, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may share personal data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where our processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection supervisory authority in the Republic of the Maldives

9. How We Protect Personal Data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk, and we encourage you not to send sensitive information through the Website’s forms.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
